Every Monday, I post three things from the world of software development that interest me or otherwise catch my attention.

The Code Review Pyramid

I find Code Reviews problematic. There are pros and cons to doing them, though I think the pros outweigh the cons. Some folks even argue you shouldn’t need them because of Mob Programming. But if you are going to do them, this is a pretty good rundown on how they should go.

Joel Spolsky on Structuring the Web with the Block Protocol

I confess I’m not 100% clear on the utility and purpose of this, but it's an intriguing idea, and if Joel is for it, I’m not against it.

Books to Read as a Developer

You can’t swing a shopping bag full of avocados without hitting a list of books that developers should read. They are all are basically the same. But I include this one because it lists the phenomenally amazing Peopleware, which is an absolute must read for anyone leading software developers.
