I like the concept of boring technology. Some people like to be on the cutting edge, but the tried, true, and (most importantly) known can be interesting as well. There’s a reason that there are well-worn paths. Take them.

What Is an Internal Developer Platform?

Apparently this lovely notion of “internal developer platform” is a new thing. I love love love this. The notion of abstracting out your development platform leads me to coin “Nick’s Law of Abstraction,” which states “Everything and anything that can be abstracted will eventually be abstracted”.
