How to Freaking Find Great Developers By Having Them Read Code

I’ve never been entirely comfortable with having developer candidates write code, and I’m not at all pleased when I have had to do it. I’m embarrassed to say that it never occurred to me to have a candidate read code. Totally agree this is better.

The folks at Thoughtworks have some really good advice on how startups can hire good people. Way more than the usual “blah, blah, blah” about how to hire people, as you’d expect from Thoughtworks.

Is TypeScript worth it?

Interesting take on Typescript. I confess that I’d never heard the term “sound type system” before. I’m a huge Typescript fan, and I’ve always viewed Typescripts type system as kind of amazing.
